So you’ve made the decision to get some personal branding photos done and you’re feeling like you’re going to be awkward during the whole shoot. NOPE!

First of all, my job is to get you looking relaxed and beautiful. BUT, there are some props and tricks of the trade to make this all a little bit easier.

Your Computer

It’s easy to hide behind a computer and get some work done. This is a go to prop for showing you’re working hard on the job.

A Book

I love diving into a good book during our shoot. It’s a relatable pastime which shows off your personality.

Other People

Hanging with your favorite crew makes for less awkward feeling photos. Smile and practice the old “ha ha ha” fake laugh, which then turns into a real laugh!

Coffee (or wine)

Holding something gives purpose and makes the image visually interesting. And hey, who wouldn’t want to go for a cup of coffee (or wine) during the shoot? Ahem…it’s been known to happen!

Walking

Walking while I shoot makes for some good laughs, but it also shows a more casual look as opposed to a posed formal feel.

A Hat

Even I rocked a few different hats during a shoot last year! It’s fun and gives a bit of dimension and interest.
